The Festa del Redentore 2026

Among the events most loved and deeply felt by Venetians, the Festa del Redentore is one of those moments when Venice reveals itself in its most authentic form: bright, intimate and profoundly connected to its history.

On Saturday 18 July 2026, the famous Notte Famosissima returns, with the long-awaited fireworks display lighting up the Bacino di San Marco and transforming the lagoon into a setting suspended between tradition, celebration and wonder.

The origins of the Redentore date back to the 16th century, when the city wished to celebrate the end of the terrible plague with the construction of the Church of the Redentore on Giudecca, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio. Still today, every year, Venice renews this ancient vow through the votive bridge, religious celebrations, decorated boats and the unique atmosphere that embraces the whole city.

An experience to enjoy in Venice

The Redentore is not only a spectacle to watch, but a tradition to experience: a special evening when Venetians and guests gather along the waterfronts, on terraces and aboard boats, waiting together for the most anticipated moment of the night.

For those staying at Hotel La Fenice et Des Artistes, it is the ideal opportunity to discover a different Venice, more intimate and festive, guided by the charm of a celebration that for centuries has united memory, beauty and lagoon life.
