Where we are
In the heart of Venice, just a stone’s throw from Piazza San Marco and the La Fenice Theatre,
the Hotel La Fenice et des Artistes is the perfect place for a relaxing stay.
Far from the beaten tourist track, our hotel is really easy to find. The nearest water bus landing stage is
Sant’Angelo (Line 1), just 5 minutes from the hotel.

From Marco Polo Airport
- Take the Alilaguna Arancio shuttle service which connects the airport with Venice. Get off at the S.Angelo landing stage. From there, just a short walk in the direction of the La Fenice Theatre and you will reach our hotel. From Piazzale Roma and S. Lucia railway station
Take the Line 1 (ACTV) water bus and get off at the S.Angelo landing stage. Just a few minutes in the direction of the La Fenice Theatre and you will arrive at our hotel. For instructions on how to reach the hotel from S.Angelo, see the section “From the S.Angelo water bus landing stage” below.
From the Port - Venice Passenger Terminal
Take the funicular People Mover, the connection between the port and Venice Piazzale Roma. Then take the Line 1 (ACTV) water bus and get off at the S.Angelo landing stage. For instructions on how to reach the hotel from S.Angelo, see the section “From the S.Angelo water bus landing stage” below.
From Tronchetto
Take the Line 2 (ACTV) water bus to Piazzale Roma and then take the Line 1 (ACTV) water bus and get off at the S.Angelo landing stage. For instructions on how to reach the hotel from S.Angelo, see the section “From the S.Angelo water bus landing stage” below.
By car
At the Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto terminals, you can park in one of the following garages:
- Garage San Marco (10% discount): from there take the Line 1 (ACTV) water bus and get off at S.Angelo;
- Garage Comunale (Municipal Garage): from there take the Line 1 (ACTV) water bus and get off at S.Angelo;
- Isola del Tronchetto garage: from there take the Line 2 (ACTV) water bus up to Piazzale Roma and then the Line 1 (ACTV) up to S.Angelo.
With private taxi
You can also take a private water taxi and arrive near the hotel. Just ask to get off at the “Rio Terà Assassini” landing stage. You can contact our reception by e-mail or call us for more information.
From the S.Angelo water bus landing stage
When you get off at the S.Angelo landing stage, go straight on and across Corte del'Alboro on the left. Go past a small bridge after the corner and then turn right along Calle dei Avocati. Now go straight on across Campo Sant’Angelo (San Anzolo) until you come to a very narrow alleyway - Calle del Cafetier. At the end of the alleyway, after crossing a small bridge and passing under a portico, you come to our hotel on the right.
From the San Marco water bus landing stage
Go left towards Vallaresso stop, then turn right along Calle Vallaresso. Turn left along Salizada San Moisè, then continue along Calle Larga XIII Marzo. After about 50 metres, turn right into Calle del Sartor Da Veste, go past a small bridge and you will find yourself in front of the La Fenice Theatre. Turn left down Calle Fenice and you will come to Campiello Fenice. You will find us immediately after on the left.
