Lovely, spacious comfortable room (a free upgrade for us) overlooking a canal - so we could hear sweet music floating by our window at sunset. Friendly, helpful, attentive front desk and staff. Terrific location in the heart of Venice near the famous Teatro La Fenice.

Some things are good when unchanged. Over 35 years I stayed at "La Fenice"; it seemed to be the same: charming, nice, friendly.

Room was nice, but breakfast is really sad. For the price level of the hotel at least some youghurt or a bigger selection of fruit or cheese!

The service was excellent and we got an upgraded room with a patio. It was right on the water and we could watch to gondolas float by and listen to the music. It was a great experience!

Dominiche (I hope that I remembered his name correctly) was great, he set us up with a water taxi (at 3:30 am) to the Marco Polo airport which otherwise could have been a stressful situation for leaving that early. Thanks again !!! I've never taken a boat to any airport & would do it again, anytime.

The staff, the room, the location make La Fenice a great, great, great hotel. First stay at La Fenice was 30 years ago and next time we come back to Venice we'll stay there.

Wonderful location and staff however our rooms were in need of extensive upgrading. Furnishings a bit stodgy, doors would not close and over all ambiance I would rate a 2.

The Hotel La Fenice is a fantastic hotel. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and truly enjoyed our hotel. The rooms are very large and my wife loved that it had a full bathtub. It is located off the main pathways in Venice on a street that is quiet (at least for Venice) but it the main attractions of Venice are accessible within a few minutes of walking. The hotel itself is very nice and the staff are extremely polite and nice. We also enjoyed the breakfast. We definitely plan to stay here again when we return to Venice for our next holiday. I highly recommend this Hotel.

I booked a "comfort" room and it was indeed very comfortable. The air conditioner kept the room quite cool (despite the warm temperatures of summer) and the bed was large, firm, and conducive to sleep. The room was not terribly large and there was no view to speak of, but nevertheless I would book the room again. Also, the hotel is very centrally located, convenient for walking to St Mark's or alternatively to the Dosoduro district across the Academia Bridge.

I had a lovely terrace off my room, heard singers rehearsing for the opera at Fenice that night, and a gondolier singing..... almost a fantasy. If my primary desire was comfort, I would not have been happy with my narrow single bed and marginal mattress. But I was in heaven there.
